ABOUT ABOUT

RATING: PG

HOMEBASE: Corvallis, OR

SHOW DESCRIPTION: Time. Space. Disaster. Thirty years ago, a teacher, a pilot, and five other astronauts boarded the Space Shuttle Challenger, and, for 73 seconds, flew into history while the entire world watched. This is their story, a story of bravery and danger, of wonder and beauty, and of taking flight.

ABOUT THE COMPANY: Portal Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director Michael Phillips, is a group of artists dedicated to making exciting, challenging and eclectic new theatre on a variety of topics that are socially and culturally relevant. Through our company-created works, we engage in conversation with our audiences in ways that are both illuminating and entertaining. Our show, "No Belles," about women who have (or should have) won the Nobel Prize in Sciences, received rave reviews in Edinburgh, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, and Edmonton.
