ABOUT ABOUT

RATING: PG

HOMEBASE:  London, England (UNITED KINGDOM)

SHOW DESCRIPTION: Inspired by bus journeys, bumpy flights and the current news
Jordan walks into Hannah’s pub looking for an answer to the question: is it time to go home? And, if the answer is ‘yes’, where exactly is that?

There’s No Place Like is new play about longing, belonging and immigration.

ABOUT THE COMPANY: Lilac Yosiphon is the artistic director of Althea Theatre, an international ensemble of British and non-British actors based in London. She wrote and performed in There's No Place Like (Brighton Fringe), Jericho’s Rose (The Northern Stage, Edinburgh Fringe 2015) and Faux Amis (Memoire de l’Avenir, Paris). Her short play Asylum won the Saving Endangered Species International Playwriting Award in Los Angeles and had a rehearsed reading at the Odyssey Theatre.

After being endorsed by Arts Council England as a promising exceptional talent in the UK, she’s currently directing One Last Thing (For Now) to be premiered in London in 2017.
