SHOW DESCRIPTION: 1 in 4 Americans struggle with mental illness. This gripping new play weaves music, movement, and real people's words, verbatim, to explore this mental health crisis. Based on interviews with therapists, individuals facing addiction, veterans battling PTSD, and the survivors of suicide, 'Untold' provocatively portrays their bravery, vulnerability, and resiliency.
Sign Language Interpretation will be available during the Saturday, July 1st performance at 7:30pm.
ABOUT THE COMPANY: Blindspot Collective is a new, San Diego-based performing arts company developing artistic programming to illuminate voices, communities, and stories in the blindspot of our society. The organization sparks dialogue between diverse theatre artists and audiences by developing new work, addressing new audiences, and encouraging new perspective. During its inaugural year, Blindspot presented the immersive experience "Hall Pass" at the Future of Storytelling Festival in New York City, produced a workshop of a new musical based on the songs of Ben Folds, and premiered a verbatim play in the San Diego International Fringe Festival.
